Is it The Clash? Kind of a fun tune, I especially liked the vocal arrangement. I really was reminded of some older U.K.-style performances, maybe even a little Adam Ant. The song writing and arranging is more solid than the recording itself, but if it's a hit, who cares, right? This sounds like another band that's probably a lot of fun to see live. I dig some of the hooks, especially as applied at the end. My overall feeling is that this is a band destined for local notoriety until it establishes it's own identity. Good enough to go, but need the material to do it with. - veiledsaber from Phoenix, Arizona on 6Jul2001 Primus without Les Claypool's bass playing At first I thought I was going to hate the song, and at times I found the pace of the song a bit uneven, but the song was unquie, and the vocals and lyrics were quirky in a good way. They remind me of Primus, except they are missing that bass sound which made Primus so endearing. But it is completly unlike anything on the radio, which may not be good from a record sales point of view, but it shows that the band has the coconuts to be creative, and to go against the grain, and that is refreshing to see. - spartucus from Ajax, Ontario, Canada on 14Jul2001 ok not bad..... like your lyrics.... nice track... overall good... - john_mnm from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 25Jun2001 great beat This song has a great bneat to it-the percussion really emphasizes it-and the guitar provides an awesome melody. The vocals are great-with a funky feel. However, the lyrics are somewhat hard to understand, from what I heard they were ok. The drums provide the backbone for this song and are reallly its strong point. The talking fast thing at the end was not cool though - RachDevil24 from Clifton Park, New York on 21Jun2001 cool beat the intro to this really caught me and drew me in. its the kind of beat that you can bob your head to. cool song. - lynnwoodcharlie from Mill Creek, Washington on 25Jun2001 Humm nice job. Good introduction and background music is woderful. But because of too much background ... i didn't understand properly the vocalist and the lyrics. Good luck. - echo345 from Chittagong, Bangladesh on 20Jun2001 Ska, pop, techno, it's all good This song is catchy, and also upbeat! It has a bit of ska-influence, and some electronics. It's pretty hard to classify, which is good too. - mad_devil from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada on 29May2001 nice work I usually am not easily impressed, but damn, you guys blew me away. Good job! - OO@3330~OO@3330~buttrock69 from Oakland, California on 15Jul2000 Good metal This seems to be a good mix of heavy metal and mainstream rock and could go places on the underground rock scene. - croftshill7690 from Cleveland, Ohio on 10Mar2000 great energy like the energy of this song not crazy about vocals - Pachuko from Honolulu, Hawaii on 4May2000 Is there a Rude Boy in the house? This is an apparent ska-influenced tune with a haunting, fast-paced beat which does well with the overall mood of the song. It is a song to dance to in the tradition of the Untouchables and certain Rancid songs. The one thing that could improve the song is better production so that the drums wont be the only thing that can be appreciated. But good song! - kaisersoza from Temple City, California on 8Aug2000 Waaaaay too overproduced It sounds like TMBG on acid. No, that's not right--TMBG already sound like they're on acid. Well, at any rate it wasn't good. The vocals are horrible, and overproduced to the point of being unintelligible. The music was particularly annoying and monotonous. I didn't like it at all. - TommyUdo from Alexandria, Virginia on 23Apr2001 Very Funny Very 80's british rock. Reminds me of that Munchkin song in The wizard of oz. I like it - Maxnquaye from Upper Darby, Pennsylvania on 14Apr2001 very groovy baby.... very nice tune. i like the guitar stuff alot. and vocals with that special effect. echo i think it is? keep up the good work! - _duker_ from Welland, Ontario, Canada on 8May2001 ska lives great beat and energy surrounding this song. The lead vocals in particular are quite good. I haven't heard a fun song like this in a while. - o from Bronx, New York on 27May2001 Very Good Song Without a doubt the best song i have heard on this site yet. I love the flow of the lyrics and the off step the beat is similar to sublime or other regae dub but with a rock edge. - nmalone from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada on 26May2001 NOW THIS IS ORIGINAL Although i may not be a fan of this musical genre, I feel i must put my personal biases aside and give this track its proper piece....I think the production is wery tight--Your drummer is a mad man! Love the up-pick mosh beat and that ooom paaa paaa schtuff at the end was simply devine -- i was loving it by this point - YOU ARE ALL TRUELY INSANE and extremely ORIGINAL --Best of luck! - morphius2k from Hawthorne, New Jersey on 27Mar2000 I like This song was pretty cool and also pretty unique. The instruments were played well, but the production didn't do the song justice. The vocals were a little too low in the mix and had a little too much reverb. The keyboard parts should have been louder. Good job with this song, and good luck. - kainhart from Westland, Michigan on 29May2001 START SKANKIN' Quite a few twists in this one. A little bit of brit/pop, a little bit of 70's swirl, a whole lotta ska. A really happy, original track. The best I've heard on garageband.com to date. - Riotcity from Parafield Gardens, South Australia, Australia on 13May2000 Put your techno shoes on quirky and danceable...I give it an 8 - paturusu from Springfield, Missouri on 2Feb2000 Grabs your attention The drum cadence in the begining of the song really grabs the attention of the listener. If you can accomplish that in your music, you maybe headed for big things, All of the instruments in this song sound so well together, this song has potential to go places, Keep it up, - polmafia from Kewaunee, Wisconsin on 2May2000 One Step Beyond! I come up with this complaint alot, but you've got a few too many effects going on here, especially on the guitar. The over-processing distracts from the energy of the song (and the song has a great energy). Other than that it sounds great. Good job. - Elton from San Francisco, California on 28May2000 New Suprise i loved the beat of the music and the song was great. the sound was so original and good luck with the contest. - themusicmaster from Nashville, Tennessee on 30Dec2000 freaky great beat! makes me wanna jump around. great chord progression. nice job changing things up and not making the song drag. keyboards a nice addition. nice tempo change. great job with buildups. i don't know what else to tell you. - mthomas from Cambridge, Wisconsin on 1Jun2000 Miles Hunt's cousin? Sounds a little like the Wonder Stuff (without fiddles) or The Fall. Is that good or bad? I don't know, but it doesn't really help the song stand on its own if its so derivative. It was very well executed so I couldn't possibly give any technical commentary. Keep up the good work as a band. - throwster from New Hartford, New York on 28Sep2000 This song lox (I mean rocks)! I hear a disco ska band playing a bar mitzfah on this track. With enough Manechewitz, I just might stay for the party. A little schizophrenic with the arrangement, but it adds a nice element of surprise. Great bass tone, by the way. - jpw216 from Buffalo, New York on 15Aug2000 70s pop rock Music from the 70s... It's almost 30 years later. Have to do something less retrospective and I don't think that 70s have to do anything with 'alternative' - dirtymoleculAs from Moscow, Ru, Russian Federation on 23Nov2000 No categories can capture this band RRRRockin track chaps! I swear this song should be in some bad-ass motorcross video. Loved it. - rockdaddy from San Diego, California on 26Sep2000 Blah Blah Blah Space ska!!! Cool effect on vocals. Sounds English. Great ending section. I bet they like Mr. Bungle - EarthBoy from Atlanta, Georgia on 28Feb2000 Don't miss this one! This song has something special. It reminds me of the German band Die Toten Hosen to an extent but it has a totataly original feal and quality to it. - joshman25 from Wakefield, Massachusetts on 1Aug2000 punch pop Sandinista continues. This takes me back to college in 1981.Post punk, synth pop. - Jeff1959 from Kansas City, Missouri on 8Jul2000 Inferior. Eek. In France, it's a general rule that their pop music is inferior to ours (which is not to say that our pop music is good). This . . . whatever it is, I'm guessing it's from somewhere other than America or the U.K. -- maybe Germany or the Netherlands. I'll be surprised if I'm wrong. - greggory from Long Beach, California on 20Mar2000 Lets Dance Right on,, voice sounds a bit like 80's new wave,, i like that,, very dancy,, in ways though since the bass rhythms are monotonous,, it takes away from the stimulation of the other instruments,,, if the bass line had less going on in different spots,, it would sound better to me,, but I do like it,, professional - Aneshay from Salt Lake City, Utah on 27Oct2000 The B52's are reborn. Cool, nice to hear something new that's different than all the cookie cutter pop out there. - wardcleaver from Ballwin, Missouri on 20May2001 the beat definately gives you something to dr.. Slite mockup of primus but generally has a good beat and keeps you interested - BiggD from Clearfield, Utah on 11May2000 Great beat! I really liked the beat to this song - good drums and guitar! - intelinside from Rockport, Texas on 27Sep2000 Its been shown that it has grown All music parts of been mixed quite well. But I'm not sure that that all the sounds are going toward the same goal. I hear a mood vocalist but a lively rythm. - DRexel from Toronto, Ontario, Canada on 29Apr2001 ok this song is ok at best keep up the good work - nonothing from Springfield, Missouri on 22Feb2000 Jammin' I love this song, the rythym is really good. the singing in the verses is sometimes hard to hear, but that's a recording problem. This is probably the most original song I've heard on this site! - gonzales_speedy from Calgary, Alberta, Canada on 25Nov2000 odd yet...strangely likable a bit annoying, but very catchy, i would be super interesting to see what else this badn has to offer. very bizzare, but surpirsingly cool.... - MplsSkaGuru from Minneapolis, Minnesota on 1May2000 dancedancedance I'll admit. I'm a hard-ass reviewer. This tune's not bad in a kinda early '80s sort of way. - bolodix from Santa Rosa, California on 30Mar2001 05/07/00 10:28pm CST Interesting approach. Good variation of guitar style. Particularly dug bass. The keyboards were a nice touch. - Christo from Tulsa, Oklahoma on 7May2000 Drowning in Verb I might be missing something but I would have rated this song at least a point higher if it weren't swimming in so much echo or reverb. I would recommend a remix. I hope this isn't the fault of the realaudio making it sound worse. The song is catchy and well done instrumentally. - siegling from Iowa City, Iowa on 9Mar2000 No Doubt Meets the Cars. Ummm.......Being it is the year 2000 and you probaly listen to ska but, use to like Devo I think it's cool. Good luck. - Yellow5 from Athens, Texas on 24Feb2000 Ya-a-awn It's just a void song-I was lost after the first verse - opticqueen from St. Louis, Missouri on 24Aug2000 let's get tossed excellent drinking music. makes me want to get drink pints of guinness and go to a football (soccer) match. - orecktron from New York City, New York on 25May2001 Energetic ska-influence Power Rock A good tight ska sound with some attitude. I like the keys and the texture. Excellent musicianship. Exciting change at the end. Doesn't completely conform to any single genre. Nice job. - superczar1000 from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on 14Nov2000
